Equally distant from Angouleme to the North and Bordeaux to the South it is the ideal location to use as a base for exploring not only the local Vineyards, but also the many other sites the Poitou-Charente, Gironde and Dordogne regions have to offer.
Les Quatre Puits is 5km North East of the medieval town of Montguyon, and 14km South West of the Market town of Chalais on the D158.

Cheap flights are available through Ryanair from various UK airports to nearby airports (Bergerac and Limoges) and Flybe from Southampton and Bristol (Bergerac and Bordeaux). British Airways fly to Bordeaux Merignac via Gatwick airport and BMI Baby also fly from various UK Airports to Bordeaux Airport.
Flights from the UK take about 1 hour (1hr 45mins from Manchester).
Hire cars are available at all airports.
By TRAIN:
From London Waterloo station or Ashford, take the Eurostar Link service to Bordeaux or Angouleme via Lille, which takes approx 6 to 7 hours depending on which station is your destination. Or take the Eurostar to Paris then from Montparnasse station take the TGV to either Angouleme or Bordeaux both are approximately 45 minutes away by car.
Car rental is available from either city.
